Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters Launch-week tier lists
Early Super Move rankings for characters and 22 nations, not frozen gospel.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters launched worldwide on 28 August 2026, with Japan consoles a day earlier. This hub is a launch-week reading of Super Moves, stamina fights, and keeper Breaks across more than 110 playable characters and 22 nations. Voice acting is Japanese only. Mixed Steam reviews already argue about box duels; that argument is data, not a reason to freeze letters.
We rank S, A, B, and C. We do not publish fake winrates or FIFA-style overalls. An early ranking here means official footage, launch reviews, and World Youth archetypes until Versus sample exists. A Super Shot that forces a keeper Break outranks a bland stat line. A Super Tackle that wins stamina clashes belongs in the conversation even on a thinner side.
Open the character tier list for Tsubasa, Hyuga, Santana, Natureza, Schneider, Levin, Diaz, and Wakabayashi. Open the team tier list for Japan Youth, Brazil Youth, Germany Youth, Argentina Youth, and the other 18 sides. Super Move gauges and chain timing are in how to play. Versus rules live in game modes.
What the letters mean
S-tier kits decide matches once Super Move gauges fill after halftime. A-tier kits win if you manage stamina and chain level. B-tier kits carry one famous technique and need shelter. C-tier kits stay legal in Versus because unique Super Blocks and named saves still interrupt windups. School and club uniforms exist; this hub ranks national identity first.
Japan Youth is S on bench depth — names are on the Japan Youth roster. Brazil Youth is S on Santana plus Natureza. Germany Youth is S on Schneider with Muller. Argentina Youth is S on Diaz combinations. France, Netherlands, Italy, and Uruguay look like A. Mexico, Sweden, Spain, England, USA, Thailand, and South Korea look like B. The rest of the 22 nations sit in C and still matter; the national teams page is about unique moves, not a power ranking copy.
How to use these lists
Play online versus and split-screen versus with the same questions: did the Super Move change keeper stamina, did a clash empty a bar, did a Break land. Custom players in the New Stars route borrow unlocked techniques; they do not rewrite the four S-tier nations. After the first balance patch we will move letters. Treat every rank as launch-week and send clips.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for launch week on PS5, Xbox, Switch, and Steam.
How is this tier list ranked?
S, A, B, and C by Super Move identity, stamina clashes, and keeper Break potential. This is an early ranking from footage, reviews, and World Youth archetypes — not FIFA-style overalls and not invented winrates.
Are Japan Youth and Brazil Youth automatic S-tier?
At launch, yes as a working hypothesis. Japan has the deepest Super Move bench, and Brazil has Santana plus Natureza. Test them in Versus, then read the team tier list when patches land.
Should I only play S-tier characters?
No. Unique Super Moves on B and C kits still interrupt windups and steal Breaks. Learn how to play first, then pick the animation you can time.
Does a New Stars custom player break these ranks?
No. The New Stars route lets you borrow unlocked Super Moves, but national archetypes and keeper identities still decide most Versus sets.
When will these lists change?
After the first balance patch and whenever Versus footage contradicts a letter. Treat every rank as launch-week and send clips; we will update rather than defend a frozen gospel.
