Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters Editions and DLC
Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate, Season Pass packs, and what is still sold after pre-order.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters ships three digital editions on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Standard is the complete game. Deluxe adds the Season Pass. Ultimate adds the Ultimate Pack on top of Deluxe. Bandai Namco’s US prices are $59.99, $79.99, and $89.99. UK and EU storefronts may differ; Steam UK has listed Standard around £49.99 in some regions. Use this page with the edition comparison tool before you pay twice for the same pack.
Japan consoles launched on 27 August 2026. Worldwide copies, including Steam, launched on 28 August 2026. If you still need platforms, reviews, and PC caveats, read launch notes first. New players should then open getting started rather than shopping for cosmetics.
Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate
Standard is the World Youth campaign, versus, practice, local split-screen, and the launch roster. You do not need Deluxe to finish Story or to play versus. Deluxe is Standard plus the Season Pass and the Season Pass bonus Black Ball. Ultimate is Deluxe plus the Ultimate Pack.
| Edition | US price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $59.99 | Base game |
| Deluxe | $79.99 | Base game, Season Pass, Black Ball |
| Ultimate | $89.99 | Deluxe contents plus the Ultimate Pack |
Standard owners can buy the Season Pass and the Ultimate Pack later as add-ons. That upgrade path costs more than buying Deluxe or Ultimate up front in most regions, which is why the bundles exist. Some European shops also sell a physical Premium SKU with a mini jersey, pennant, stickers, and a Yoichi Takahashi letter. That collector box is not a fourth Steam edition.
Season Pass through August 2027
The Season Pass is paid DLC, not the in-game cosmetic shop. Official copy lists six playable characters and customization items, including uniforms, scheduled through August 2027. The pass bonus is the Black Ball customization. Bandai splits the drop into Character Pack 1, Character Pack 2, and Character Pack 3. Store listings describe each pack as two playable characters, which matches the six-character total. Exact names and drop dates were still unannounced at launch.
Steam app 4280310 is the Season Pass. Console stores list it as a standalone add-on as well. Deluxe and Ultimate already include it. The same content may also be sold as individual packs later, which is why every store page warns about duplicate purchases. Check your library before you click Buy.
Black Ball unlocks once the pass is installed. Japanese help text points at the Multi Menu, game settings, then ball type. Some uniforms can only be worn by players from specific teams, so a new kit is not a global wardrobe unlock.
Ultimate Pack
The Ultimate Pack (Steam 4196710) is the extra layer on Ultimate. Official contents:
- Five alternate uniforms
- Three alternate ball customizations
- Two goal celebrations
- Two main menu themes
- Two early-unlock powerful move cards
Xbox store copy names the early cards as Neo Drive Shot and Neo Tiger Shot, and notes that one menu theme uses an original Yoichi Takahashi illustration while the other is an original for this game. Those cards are early unlocks, not unique moves nobody else can earn. If you skip Ultimate, you still play the same matches; you wait longer or dress plainer.
Pre-order window (closed) and leftover listings
Pre-order bonuses were tied to purchases before 27 August 2026, 22:59 GMT+8. The set was:
- 2026 Japan National Team & World Youth Jersey Set (two costumes)
- Early Brazil Youth unlock
- Early BGM access: Moete Hero -WORLD FIGHTERS Ver.- and Moete Hero -Youth Ver.-
Brazil Youth and the two arrangements are early-unlock bonuses. You can also earn them by progressing. The jersey set remains a paid listing (Steam 4280300) so late buyers can still purchase it. Some modes may restrict bonus use; store small print says all bonuses apply as in-game items after you update to the latest build.
Steam 4196720 is the Save Data Bonus Pack: Nankatsu Middle School Uniform, Toho Academy Uniform, and the ball customization “Tsubasa’s Challenge Ball Slammed at Wakabayashi.” Rise of New Champions owners receive that pack as a previous-title bonus. Everyone else can buy it. Do not pay for it if the save bonus already granted it.
Shop currency versus paid DLC
Matches and modes feed an in-game cosmetic shop that spends earned currency. That shop is not the Season Pass. Steam lists In-Game Purchases; PEGI flags the same. You can finish the campaign, learn game modes, and pick a squad from the players hub without opening the cash shop.
Paid DLC on Steam at launch is the four IDs above: Season Pass, jersey set, Ultimate Pack, and Save Data Bonus Pack. Do not invent extra pack names. Character Pack 1, Character Pack 2, and Character Pack 3 live inside the Season Pass until Bandai sells them separately.
PC buyers should still read system requirements and launch notes before treating a Deluxe receipt as a performance upgrade. After you know which SKU you own, go back to getting started. Official storefronts sit on the wiki links page. This updates hub will track pack drop dates when Bandai publishes them.

Five alternate uniforms, three ball customizations, two goal celebrations, two main menu themes, and two early-unlock powerful move cards. Store copy names those cards Neo Drive Shot and Neo Tiger Shot. The pack is Steam 4196710.
I missed pre-order. What did I lose?
The cutoff was 27 August 2026 at 22:59 GMT+8. Brazil Youth and the two Moete Hero tracks can also be earned by progressing. The 2026 Japan National Team & World Youth Jersey Set is still sold separately (Steam 4280300).
Is the in-game shop the same as the Season Pass?
No. The shop spends earned currency on cosmetics. The Season Pass is paid DLC. Steam still lists In-Game Purchases for the title as a whole.
How do I avoid buying DLC twice?
Deluxe already includes the Season Pass. Ultimate already includes the Season Pass and the Ultimate Pack. Check those SKUs against Steam IDs 4280310, 4280300, 4196710, and 4196720 before you add a pack from the wiki links storefronts.
