Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters Edition Comparison
Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate at US Bandai prices, with a clear Standard-is-enough call.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters sells three digital editions in Bandai Namco’s US lineup. Standard is $59.99. Deluxe is $79.99. Ultimate is $89.99. The launch game is the same in every SKU: World Youth Story, versus, Practice, 110-plus playable characters, 22 national teams, Japanese voices, and subtitle languages. You pay extra for a Season Pass, a black ball, and a cosmetics pack, not for a hidden campaign.
If you do not want DLC characters, Standard is enough. The editions and DLC page tracks what the pass actually drops. First-hour play sits in getting started. PC buyers should still confirm the system requirements before checkout.

Steam’s chart warns that some uniforms can only be worn by players from specific teams, that each product may include content planned for separate sale, and that you should avoid duplicate purchases. Bonus items apply in-game.
Standard ($59.99)
Standard is the full launch game. Story covers the World Youth arc with Legendary routes and the New Stars custom player. Versus covers local split-screen and online PvP. You do not lose stages, national teams, or Super Moves by skipping Deluxe. You lose future DLC characters and the Black Ball cosmetic.
Buy Standard if you want the campaign and versus, then maybe a Season Pass later as standalone DLC. The pass is sold separately on Steam. Deluxe is only cheaper if you already know you will take every character pack through August 2027.
Deluxe ($79.99)
Deluxe is Standard plus the Season Pass plus the Black Ball. The pass promises six playable characters and customization items, including uniforms, scheduled through August 2027. Treat Deluxe as a prepay for a year of roster DLC, not as a day-one character dump. The Black Ball is a cosmetic, not a power boost.
Ultimate ($89.99)
Ultimate is Deluxe plus the Ultimate Pack: five alternate uniforms, three alternate balls, two goal celebrations, two main menu themes, and two early unlock powerful move cards. That is cosmetics plus two cards you see sooner. It is not a fourth difficulty or a bonus Story route. Pay the extra $10 over Deluxe only if you want those cosmetics and the early cards. If you do not care about the pass either, you are back at Standard.
Pre-order window (closed)
Pre-order bonuses ended on 27 August 2026 at 22:59 GMT+8. The closed bundle was the 2026 Japan National Team and World Youth jersey set, an early Brazil Youth team unlock, and two arranged Moete Hero BGM tracks. Steam notes that Brazil Youth and the two BGM tracks are early unlocks you can also earn by playing. Do not buy a new SKU hoping to recover a closed pre-order.
Who should pay extra
Story-first players should buy Standard. Versus players who chase every new name should buy Deluxe. Collectors who want balls, menus, and celebrations should buy Ultimate. Rise of New Champions veterans should check the separate Save Data Bonus Pack (Nankatsu and Toho uniforms plus a challenge ball) before they double-buy those kits; it is not inside Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate.
Europe sold a Premium physical PlayStation 5 box with Ultimate content as a code plus merch. That SKU is not the US digital Ultimate. Licenses do not hop platforms: Steam Deluxe does not drop Season Pass characters on Switch. After you own a SKU, use getting started, and watch editions and DLC when a character pack is actually live.
