This is an early ranking of Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters characters after the 28 August 2026 worldwide launch. More than 110 playable characters shipped with Japanese voice acting only. We do not publish winrates or FIFA-style overalls. Letters come from Super Move identity, stamina fights, and keeper Break potential, using official footage, launch reviews, and World Youth archetypes. A later patch that changes windups or gauge speed moves the letters.

S-tier Super Move kits
Tsubasa Ozora is S because the kit is complete, not because he is the protagonist. Drive Shot and Flying Drive Shot still look like the cleanest path to a keeper Break, and Golden Combi passing with Misaki feeds chain level before the shot starts. Super Dribble and Super Pass let him spend the gauge on buildup instead of a low-chain finish.
Kojiro Hyuga is S as a stamina-fight striker. Neo Tiger Shot exists to empty a keeper bar even when the first attempt is saved. He is a second-half closer, not a chain gardener.
Carlos Santana is S as Brazil’s sacred-fire finisher: high-output Super Shots and aerial variants built to Break keepers. Natureza is S beside him, not beneath him — a dribble-first Super Move identity the chain system was built to celebrate. Brazil’s point is two finishing languages.
Karl Heinz Schneider is S because Fire Shot tests keepers from range. Stefan Levin is S as a person while Sweden sits lower as a team — Levin Shoot is a named killer technique. Juan Diaz is S as the Maradona-coded dribbler: Super Dribble plus Alan Pascal is what chain level wants. Genzo Wakabayashi is the only S-tier keeper on this early ranking; Super Saves and Break resistance are the Versus win condition. Muller is elite and still a letter below.
A-tier connectors and Hyuga-adjacent Japan
Taro Misaki is A: Golden Combi and Super Pass are real, solo Break threat is a step under Tsubasa. Deuter Muller is A as Germany’s wall — a different save language from Wakabayashi, still a nightmare in stamina fights. Ryoma Hino is A as Uruguay’s cannon. Pierre is A as France’s playmaker. Cruyfford is A as the Netherlands dribbler whose Super Dribble belongs near Diaz without the same combo partner.
Hyuga-adjacent Japan pieces sit here on purpose. Shun Nitta, Hiroshi Jito, Makoto Soda, Takeshi Sawada, and Ken Wakashimazu win specific fights — Hayabusa shots, power clashes, razor Super Tackles that eat windups, Toho combinations, karate keeping — without carrying every phase. Gino Hernandez belongs in that keeper cluster. Alan Pascal and Ramon Victorino are A-adjacent combo pieces.
B-tier, C-tier, and unique moves
B-tier is highlight technique on a thinner bench. Singprasert Bunnag and the Khongsawat brothers make Thailand a qualifier threat. Ricardo Espadas headlines Mexico. Spain’s Romero brothers throw tornado combinations that still need a full eleven. England, USA, South Korea, and Sweden’s supporting cast around Levin sit in B until Versus sample size says otherwise.
Remaining named players from China, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Cameroon, Canada, Senegal, and the rest of the 22 nations stay usable because unique Super Blocks and named saves interrupt S-tier windups. Indonesia’s Eko Jawato stuffing Eagle-class finishes with a Garuda save is the example. See national teams and the team tiers.
Keepers, Breaks, and testing
Keeper ranking is Break math. A Super Shot that chunks stamina can trigger a Break and cut maximum keeper stamina for the rest of the match. Miracle Saving can deny a goal on a red bar. Wakabayashi is S because he makes Breaks rare.
Test in online versus and split-screen versus with the same checklist: fill a Super Move gauge without dumping the chain, spend it on a shot that hits keeper stamina, and note whether a Break landed. Interrupt a windup with a Super Tackle. After the first balance patch we will rewrite letters. Versus format notes live in game modes.

Series identity plus launch footage. Genzo's Super Saves and Break resistance are the Versus win condition against Schneider and Hyuga.
Is Natureza ranked above Santana?
No. Both are S. Santana is the keeper-break finisher; Natureza is the dribble-and-chain engine. Brazil's point is that you get both languages on the team tier list.
Why is Levin S if Sweden is not an S-tier team?
Levin Shoot is a named killer Super Move. Sweden's supporting cast is thinner, so the nation sits in B while Levin himself stays S.
Do New Stars custom players break this list?
They borrow Super Moves you unlock in the New Stars route. That can copy an animation; it does not copy Wakabayashi's keeper identity or Japan's bench depth.
How should I test a character in Versus?
Play online versus, watch keeper stamina rather than the scoreboard, and ask whether the Super Move forced a Break. Controls for gauges and chains are in how to play.
