Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters shipped 22 national sides and more than 110 playable characters on 28 August 2026. This page is an early ranking of those nations for Versus, judged by Super Move identity, stamina fights, and keeper Break potential. Japanese voice acting only. We do not post fake winrates or FIFA-style overalls. School and club kits exist; they are not this list.

S-tier World Youth sides
Japan Youth is S because the bench is a Super Move toolbox. Tsubasa, Hyuga, Misaki, and Wakabayashi cover buildup, keeper Breaks, combination play, and Super Saves. Hyuga-adjacent pieces — Nitta, Jito, Soda, Sawada, Wakashimazu — fill jobs other nations assign to their only star. You can spend a gauge on a Super Tackle, lose the body, and still have another named animation on the next wave.
Brazil Youth is S because Santana and Natureza are two finishing languages. Santana’s Super Shots Break keepers. Natureza’s Super Dribbles grow chain level until those shots land harder. Most nations would S-rank either man alone.
Germany Youth is S as a shooting-and-keeper machine. Schneider’s Fire Shot is an S-tier Break threat from range. Muller is an A-tier wall that still turns stamina fights into coin flips. Kaltz, Schester, and Margus handle chores Japan solves with named captains.
Argentina Youth is S because Diaz combinations feed the chain system. Super Dribble into a partner Super Shot is the pattern World Fighters added, and Diaz plus Pascal is the cleanest version.
A-tier and B-tier nations
France, Netherlands, Italy, and Uruguay are A. Pierre gives France a midfield identity without Japan’s bench. Cruyfford gives the Netherlands a Diaz-like engine with less combo support. Italy leans on Gino Hernandez and a tighter Super Shot menu. Uruguay rides Hino’s cannon and Victorino, then asks the rest of the eleven to survive the counter. All four beat B-tier on Super Move quality. None match Japan’s depth or Brazil’s dual finishers on launch footage.
Mexico, Sweden, Spain, England, USA, Thailand, and South Korea are B. Espadas is a highlight Super Shot on a qualifier-width roster. Sweden is the split: Levin is S as a character, Sweden is B as a team. England and USA sit on thinner Super Move menus. Spain’s Romero brothers throw tornado combinations that still need shelter. Thailand is a qualifier threat on purpose — Bunnag and the Khongsawat family are series tradition. South Korea is dangerous on a Super Tackle or Super Shot, not a 90-minute S-tier bench.
C-tier qualifier kits still win Versus sets
C-tier is China, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Cameroon, Canada, and Senegal. Unique Super Moves still outrank bland power, and these seven have named saves, awkward Super Blocks, and shot angles that interrupt S-tier windups. Indonesia’s Eko Jawato stuffing Eagle-class finishes with a Garuda save in official video is the lesson: a C-tier keeper animation can steal a set from Tsubasa. The national teams page exists so you can do that homework. Custom captains from the New Stars route can borrow a missing animation; they do not turn a C-tier bench into Japan Youth.

Why are only four nations in S-tier?
Japan, Brazil, Germany, and Argentina have Super Move benches that cover buildup, Breaks, and keeping. France, Netherlands, Italy, and Uruguay have stars; they do not have that same 11-man toolbox on launch footage.
Can Thailand or South Korea beat an S-tier side?
Yes in Versus. Unique Super Moves interrupt windups and steal Breaks. B-tier here means a thinner bench, not a locked result. Thailand is a qualifier threat for that reason.
Are high school and club teams ranked on this page?
No. This list is the 22 nations. Club and school kits are real in the game; they are a different conversation from Japan Youth versus Brazil Youth in World Youth Versus.
Why is Sweden B-tier if Levin is S-tier?
Levin Shoot is an S-tier Super Move. Sweden's supporting cast cannot copy Japan's second wave, so the nation sits in B while Levin himself stays S on the character tier list.
Should I unlock Brazil Youth first?
If you already have the early unlock, use it — Santana and Natureza teach keeper Breaks fast. Otherwise play the nation whose Super Moves you can time.
